If your loved one was a Yahoo Account holder, the following guidelines should help you shut down their account.
To initiate the process for shutting down their account, the individual with the legal capacity to do so (the personal representative or executor of the estate), must mail the following documentation to the address listed below:
- A written letter requesting the account of your loved one be shut down on account of their passing. Their Yahoo ID is necessary.
- A copy of the document conveying authority to the requesting party as the personal representative or executor.
- A copy of the death certificate of the account holder.
