We also collect and store information that pertains to the funeral arrangement including but not limited to funeral home location, funeral home pictures, funeral home description, basic services of the funeral home and staff, embalming, cosmetic preparation, details of the urn, cremation, transportation, funeral coach, acknowledgment cards, memorial folders/prayer cards, registration book and death certificates.

How may we use your information?

We may use information that you provide to us for the following: to provide you with and inform you of services (and our affiliates services), to create leads for funeral providers if you have requested and agreed to a call from a funeral provider, to manage your account, to respond to your questions and comments, to communicate with you, to solicit information from you, to resolve disputes, to prevent potentially prohibited or illegal activities, and to enforce our Terms of Use.

Should Obitia become aware of potential or in fact prohibited or illegal activities performed or to be performed by you, Obitia may supply any and all of your information to law enforcement authorities. Notwithstanding the above, Obitia may provide any and all of your information to law enforcement authorities upon request by such authorities. We will not share you personal information with law enforcement without detecting evidence of illegal activity or without a properly served subpoena.

Obitia may also use your information to compile bulk data on funeral home arrangements. In compiling this data, Obitia will not include your first and last name, contact information, billing information, street address, or any other personally identifying information. Obitia may include any and all other information Obitia sees fit, including your city, state, and zip code which is not personally identifying to you.

With whom we share your information?

We may share any and all of your information with the following:

  • Third-party vendors, including but not limited to: funeral providers, bill-processing companies, customer service, marketing, and fraud prevention. We may also grant third- parties access to the Website and your information as needed to operate the Website or provide advertising. Third-party vendors will only be supplied your information on an as-needed basis.
  • Referring websites: if you have clicked on the website through another website, we may share some information about you with the referring website and vice-versa. Please note that we do not control the actions, or the policies of the referring/referred website and we highly advise you read the Privacy Policy and Terms of Use of every website that you visit.
  • Law enforcement officials if we suspect fraud, prohibited, illegal activities or we are served a subpoena.
